and a reason to hope for a brighter future
Our vision is to see a generation of women who are free from addiction, unshakeable in their dignity and self-worth, and equipped to impact their community.
We believe all women have intrinsic value and a reason to hope for a brighter future.

Our mission is to provide support and opportunities to women who desire to be substance-use free. We are committed to assisting women and their families in restoring health, faith, well-being and hope for their lives.
We believe our graduates are becoming leaders who will break the cycle of poverty and addiction in their communities.
From their first day at the Hope House, we start working with residents to accomplish this mission with a dynamic program that's designed to gently draw out these outcomes.
The Hope Project Foundation is a Canadian charity that serves at-risk women by providing transitional housing, recovery programs, and employment initiatives. The organization was established in 2017 and is run by staff and a volunteer Board of Directors.
Currently our charity consists of two missions that work in tandem to create health-focused programs for women in recovery: The Hope House (a live-in recovery home) and Covered by Hope (a growing social enterprise initiative).
Hope House opened its doors in March 2018 after two short successful pilot programs. While women pay what they can afford to stay (prorated based on each individual's income or financial situation), the majority of our expenses are actually met through community fundraisers and the generosity of our donors.
Our donors believe that, together, we can make a difference by providing lifesaving opportunities to their mothers, daughters, and sisters - breaking the cycle of oppression and giving hope to all future generations!
Together we will watch the landscape of addiction and hopelessness shift in Cape Breton and across the Maritimes!
