We can accommodate up to seven women at a time. As a part of our intake process applicants meet with our financial counselor prior to admission, however, finances do not determine acceptance into the program.
Once in the program, every woman is invited to become a full member of our home by participating in the life of Hope House, which includes:
Hope House rests on the cliffside of a glistening, winding river surrounded by gardens, hayfields, and thirty-five acres of land. It provides a perfect setting for women working toward physical, mental, and spiritual well-being.
Our small and humble farm is a big part of what we do here at the Hope House! With chickens, goats, vegetable gardens, and a mighty cute barn cat, our farm has become the central hub of our agricultural therapy.
Our vision is to see a generation of women in Cape Breton who are free from addiction, unshakeable in their dignity and self-worth, and equipped to impact their community.
As a charity, our mission is to provide support and opportunities to women who desire to be substance-use free. We are committed to assisting women in restoring health, faith, well-being, and hope for their lives!
We believe our graduates are becoming leaders who will break the cycle of poverty and addiction in their communities.
and a reason to hope for a brighter future
Your contributions will help provide a home for women seeking recovery from addictions in Cape Breton, assisting with accommodation costs, grocery bills, and program facilitation. As a certified Canadian charity, we are pleased to offer charitable tax receipts when you give!
